One of the coolest things about traveling is all the stories you come home with. Here you will hear about some of our adventures like being detained for sixteen hours in Peru because of a protest or what it was like to spend nine days in a Bulgarian hospital.

Bansko, Bulgaria

Bansko, Bulgaria: Not the Trip We Bargained For Our long-awaited ski trip did not turn out anything like we had hope. Even so, we left Bansko with many wonderful memories and a really good story.

Medellin, Colombia

10 Reasons You Should Visit Medellin, Colombia We chose Medellin as our last stop in Latin America and were blown away by this city. It has shed its violent past to become a worthy tourist destination. Find out why you should consider visiting Medellin.

Cordoba, Argentina

One Month in Cordoba, Argentina  We visited Cordoba, Argentina’s second-largest city, in  October of 2019. This very walkable city has one of the coolest churches we have seen so far and is a few hours away from the towns of La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano that made for a fun-filled and relaxing side trip.

The Galapagos Islands

Is a Land-Based Galapagos Trip Right For You?  We spent four weeks as land-based visitors in the Galápagos Islands. The experience taught us that there is a whole other side to the islands that you don’t often see.

Our Top 10 Latin American Highlights: 2019 You can certainly see a lot in ten months and we have the photos to prove it. But there were some experiences that hold a special place in your memories. These are our top ten from 2019.

Hospitalized in Bulgaria!

You never think it will happen to you. But it happened to us. Steve had a skiing accident in Bansko, Bulgaria and had to be hospitalized for nine days. This is the story of his less-than-ideal experiences.

Peru Protest: Stranded in La Joya

We weren’t looking forward to a sixteen and a half hour overnight bus trip through southern Peru on our way to Machu Picchu. Little did we know that an additional fourteen hours would be added to our journey when the road we were on was blocked by protesters. This is where we found out what’s really important.

Oops! Did We Do That?
